Hajj & Umrah Guide

Guide on how to perform Hajj & Umrah Through the teachings of the prophet(blessings and peace of Allah be upon him)

There is no report from the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) to suggest that there is a specific dua to be recited in each circuit of tawaf.”

Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymin (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
“It is proven that the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to say takbir (“Allahu akbar”) every time he came to the Black Stone, and between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, he used to say “Rabbana atina fi’d-dunya hasanah wa fi’l-akhirati hasanah wa qinna ‘adhab an-nar (Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire)” [al-Baqarah 2:201].

The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) used to end his tawaf between the two corners [the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone corner] with the words, “Rabbana atina fi’d-dunya hasanah wa fi’l-akhirati hasanah wa qinna ‘adhab an-nar (Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire)”, as he used to conclude all his du‘as in that manner. There is no specific dhikr required in tawaf, according to the consensus of the leading scholars.

Fare well Tawaf for Umrah:

Is sunnah. for him to circumambulate the Ka’bah when he wants to leave,
because there is no evidence that it is obligatory, and because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) did not do the farewell tawaaf when he left Makkah after doing the fulfilled ‘umrah (‘umrah al-qada’) as far as we know from his Sunnah.

And Allaah is the Source of strength. May Allah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions. End quote.

Farewell Tawaf:

The farewell tawaaf is required of the one who has come on Hajj to the House of Allaah when he wants to leave because Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “The people were commanded that the last thing they do should do is to circumambulate the House, but an exception was made for menstruating women.” Saheeh – agreed upon. And he said: The people used to leave from wherever they were, but the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No one of you should depart until the last thing he has done is to circumambulate the House.” Narrated by Ahmad and Muslim. Based on the context, this is a command to the pilgrims, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said it at the end of Hajj, directing the pilgrims.
